U-suke

U-suke
U-suke was born in Mie and raised in Chiba.
After serving with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry he studied abroad in Melbourne, Australia. During his time there, he was awarded the prestigious Dux Prize at the Illustre Exhibition. U-suke became a freelance 
illustrator after graduating from the NMIT (Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE) with his Diploma of Illustration.  As well as drawing the “Sugamo Historical Era fantasy illustration” panel in Tokyo at Sugamo Jizou-dori shopping center, he designed multiple character logos for the Ajinomoto brand. His authored books include the titles,“Chonmage Kacho” (Shufu to Seikatsu Sha Co.,Ltd.), “Moley”(Wani books Co., Ltd.), “Kuroton: The Jet Dolphin and a Journey to the Stars” (Hoikusha Publishers Co.,Ltd.). “Kuroton”was selected for the 2015 International Bologna Children’s Book Fair and chosen in Japan to be included in all school libraries by the “All Japan Library Convention”. Since 2015, U-suke has been engaged as a Co-Producer in the Takushoku University academic co-operation project, conducting the instituted “Fab-Design Association”, which incorporates area projects and art installations, and so on. U-suke resides in Tokyo.
